For over a decade BITEHARDER has been designing, manufacturing and selling aftermarket snowmobile products that improve performance, save snowmobilers money with our award-winning carbide runner and stud sharpening tools, for a smarter and safer riding experience.
In 2019 BITEHARDER started selling snowmobile helmet safety lights. These lights consist of a 200 lumen LED strip that is mounted on the back of your helmet (using s 3M tape) for improved visibility in all conditions – snow dust, snowstorms, fog and darkness. There are currently tens of thousands of these patented lights in use by recreational riders across all of North America.
With changes to the ISR Racing Rules for the 2026 season requiring all racers to incorporate an orange helmet safety light, BITEHARDER was contacted to see if the light could be used in a racing environment.
During the 2025 season, the lights were rigorously tested on the racetrack by racers. Feedback was collected and incorporated into the final design, resulting in a “Racer Series Helmet Safety Light” that is approved by the ISR.
